Registration of Residence in Portugal of E.U. Citizen and family members

Community (European Union) rules allow the free movement of goods and people. However, for each act there is a process to be followed and requirements to be fulfilled.

The establishment of residence in Portugal by European citizens and their family members (whether of the nationality of one of the Member States of the European Union or of a Third State) needs to be formalized before the Competent Authority, within the legally established time limit.

After analysis, if approved, a residence card is issued with a validity period determined according to each situation.
